Lens10 recently surveyed hundreds of online retailers and their suppliers at Online Retailer 2011. We asked "what is the toughest question you want web analytics to answer today". The winner, with over a third of the votes, was "Should I go mobile?".
That is no surprise given that Australia has the second highest smartphone penetration in the world according to recent Google research. Last year mobile internet penetration passed 50% of online Australians and continues to grow rapidly in 2011 with a raft of new smart phones coming onto the market and tablet ownership expected to triple from 8%, according to Nielson's Australian Online Consumer Report.
